Fuelling sustainable road and aviation decarbonization has a goal of reducing the road and the aviation sectors emissions by developing a comprehensive range of green fuels. This will be pivotal to substitute fossil alternatives currently in the market. The work package consists of one unit of productive investment and 6 innovation projects. R&D projects include several topics, namely hydro conversion technologies, with the focus on conversion of advanced unconventional feedstocks (biomass residues) into sustainable aviation and marine fuels. The studies involve the improvement of catalysts to achieve high quality of hydro conversion products using reaction operation conditions similar to the industrial ones (temperature, pressure, contact time, hydrogen load ratio).
