Visit to Fertiberia

     On 4 April 2024, as part of the GrAPHy project - Green Ammonia Production from Intermittent Sources of Hydrogen, funded by the PRR, the project team went to the Fertiberia facilities, located in the Puertollano Industrial Complex, Ciudad Real, Spain.         

     The students from the Doctoral Programme in Chemical Engineering, João Fortunato and José Maria Pires, were accompanied by lecturers Henrique Matos, Carla Costa Pinheiro, Pedro Castro and Diogo Narciso. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the ammonia production process and the company's decarbonisation plan, which will start producing ammonia from green hydrogen in 2022, in partnership with Iberdrola.
